[18/06/2010] How to make Ice cream with the Ice Cream Ball
The Ice Cream Ball comes in two sizes – Original and Mega and while the former is capable of producing one pint of soft ice cream, the Mega Play and Freeze Ice Cream Maker will give you a whole quart. Making ice cream with this fun device is very easy - you don’t need electricity and you don’t need to pre-freeze anything.
All you have to do is:
- Add rock salt and ice to the ice end until is full (1/2 cup of rock salt for the Original Ice Cream Ball and 3/4 cup for the Mega size)
- Remove the lid on the other side of the Ice Cream Ball, pour in the pre-mixed ingredients, and then hand-tighten the lid back. Do not fill this side to the top and leave enough space (about an inch) for expansion.
- Now it is time to toss, shake, and kick the ball for the next ten to fifteen minutes. After that remove the lid again, scrape the ice cream from the walls of the Ice Cream Ball, add more ice if you have to, and play with the ball for another 10 to fifteen minutes.
- That’s it – you are ready to serve the delicious ice cream!
